A 16-year-old boy has been killed and another injured in a tragic accident that occurred in the Dombivli MIDC area. The incident, which unfolded on Wednesday evening, involved a speeding tempo that collided with the teenagers' two-wheeler, according to police reports.

The deceased, identified as Budhshal Khandare, succumbed to his injuries on the spot, while his friend, Vabhav Shendge, also 16, was swiftly admitted to a local hospital for medical care. The unfortunate event transpired as the two were returning from their tuition classes.

In the aftermath, local residents apprehended the tempo driver, assaulting him before handing him over to the authorities. A case of rash driving has been registered against him. Meanwhile, police are investigating how the deceased gained access to the two-wheeler.
