In a significant development, police have apprehended four additional suspects in the high-profile murder case of NCP leader Baba Siddique, bringing the total number of individuals in custody to 14. Among those arrested is Amit Hisamsing Kumar, a Haryana native believed to be a critical connector between the shooter and the conspiracy's mastermind.
Authorities nabbed Kumar in Haryana and have since transported him to Mumbai. In Pune, three additional suspects—Rupesh Rajendra Mohol, Karan Rahul Salve, and Shivam Arvind Kohad—were arrested. Police suspect Kumar's involvement in planning and executing the murder, with potential financial links under investigation.
According to police sources, Amit Kumar is a significant connection between Gurmail Singh, a shooter already in custody, and the alleged mastermind, Mohammed Zeeshan Akhtar, who remains at large. Investigations point to Akhtar as the central figure connecting various operatives involved in the murder conspiracy.
