In a tragic incident on Wednesday, a grenade explosion rocked a bustling central Kabul market, claiming the life of at least one individual and injuring 10 others, according to an official statement from Afghanistan's interior ministry.

Abdul Mateen Qaniee, the spokesperson for the ministry, informed Reuters that the person believed to have caused the explosion has had one leg amputated. The suspect is currently in custody, receiving medical treatment, and is under investigation by security forces.

The reason behind the grenade explosion has yet to be determined, leaving officials to discern whether it was an intentional attack or a different form of disturbance.
