Tragic Army Vehicle Accident Claims Soldier's Life on Rishikesh Highway
On the Rishikesh-Badrinath highway, a soldier, Havildar Shailendra Singh of the 26 Rajput Regiment, died tragically after an army vehicle overturned. The vehicle, driven by Darshan Singh, slid backward on a slope, leading to the mishap. Despite rescue efforts, Singh was declared dead at a local health center.

In a tragic incident on the Rishikesh-Badrinath highway, an army vehicle overturned, resulting in the death of a soldier, authorities have reported. The accident occurred in Devprayag district on Wednesday around 11:45 am.
According to Mahipal Singh Rawat, the officer in charge at Devprayag police station, the vehicle began moving backwards on a slope while traveling from Gauchar to Raiwala in Dehradun. Darshan Singh, the driver, quickly alerted the soldiers, advising them to jump and save themselves.
Despite these efforts, the vehicle overturned on the road, trapping Havildar Shailendra Singh of the 26 Rajput Regiment. Emergency services were called, and the soldier was rushed to Devprayag Community Health Center, where he was pronounced dead. Garhwal Scout Subedar Khushpal Singh and other soldiers were also in the vehicle at the time.
