The Mumbai Police have taken a significant step in the investigation of a threat message case involving actor Salman Khan by detaining a suspect in Jamshedpur. According to officials, the suspect is being interrogated by the Worli police, with plans to transport him to Mumbai for further proceedings.

Last week, an alarming extortion message demanding Rs 5 crore from Khan was sent to the Mumbai Traffic Police's WhatsApp helpline. In response, the police swiftly registered a case and dispatched teams to Jharkhand and Guwahati to apprehend those involved.

The situation took an unexpected turn when, alongside the ongoing search, the traffic police received an apology message from the same mobile number used for the threat. This case comes amid concerns of past threats against Khan, notably from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang linked to a failed assassination plot.
