A hotel worker in Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki district has been arrested following the release of a video allegedly showing him spitting on rotis during preparation, according to local police reports.
The hotel has been shut down in light of the incident, and the controversial rotis have been seized for examination, as per Additional Superintendent of Police, Chiranjeev Nath Sinha.
This event adds to a series of similar occurrences in other districts, such as Saharanpur and Baghpat, leading the state government to propose strict non-bailable laws against such actions.
