In a significant crackdown, Mumbai police raided a shop and residential premises, seizing 1,000 e-cigarettes valued at Rs 30 lakh, officials reported.
E-cigarettes, illegal in India, were recovered from locations in the Agripada area of south Mumbai following a targeted operation by the crime branch personnel.
A total of 200 e-cigarettes were found at the shop, and a further 800 at a residence, leading to charges against the accused under relevant legal sections.
