Cricket Betting Ring Busted in Goa

Five individuals were arrested by Goa police for operating a cricket betting racket in Salvador-de-Mundo village. Operating from a bungalow, they accepted online bets on an international series. Rs 1 lakh in cash was seized, and a legal case has been filed under the Goa Public Gambling Act, 1976.

In a recent operation, Goa police apprehended five individuals accused of running a cricket betting racket near Panaji.

The suspects, originating from Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Karnataka, were allegedly conducting their illegal enterprise from a bungalow in Salvador-de-Mundo village.

Law enforcement officials seized Rs 1 lakh in cash and booked the accused under the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act, 1976, as they accepted online bets on a current international cricket series.
