In a major incident on Tuesday morning, over a dozen workers sustained injuries following a powerful explosion at the Ordnance Factory Khamaria in Jabalpur district, Madhya Pradesh, according to officials.
The blast occurred around 9:45 a.m. during the refilling of explosive materials into bombs. Two workers are critically injured and receiving hospital care, while efforts continue to locate a missing worker presumably trapped under debris.
This ordnance factory is a leading ammunition production unit of the Department of Defence Production. An investigation is currently in progress to ascertain the cause, with factory fire brigades and security teams leading rescue operations.
