Israel has accused Hezbollah of hiding vast sums of cash and gold in a bunker located beneath a Beirut hospital. The announcement came from Israel's military on Monday, amid ongoing military actions against Hezbollah's financial networks.
However, Fadi Alameh, a Lebanese lawmaker and director of Al-Sahel hospital, refuted these claims as unfounded, urging the Lebanese Army to verify the premises, which he said only host medical facilities. According to Israeli military sources, the information was obtained over years of intelligence-gathering.
While the Israeli military reiterated that the hospital itself would not be targeted, they emphasized the continuous monitoring of the site. In the meantime, Israeli forces have conducted precise strikes on Hezbollah's financial operations in Lebanon, with further actions planned.
