In a tragic turn of events, two suspected foreign terrorists have struck fear into the heart of Jammu and Kashmir, claiming the lives of seven individuals in a brazen attack. The incident occurred at a tunnel-construction site along the Srinagar-Leh national highway in Ganderbal district.

The attack, thought to be the work of infiltrators from Bandipora, resulted in the deaths of a doctor and six laborers. This act of terror unfolded late in the evening when the victims had returned to their camp, officials reported.

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha assured that police and security forces have been directed to relentlessly pursue and neutralize the perpetrators of this heinous act. "According to the initial investigation, these masked terrorists targeted the company's mess hall, opening indiscriminate fire," Sinha stated.
