The Congress party has vocally condemned a recent terror attack in Ganderbal, Jammu and Kashmir, labeling it as an 'inhumane and despicable act'. This violent incident, targeting a tunnel-construction site on the Srinagar-Leh highway, resulted in the deaths of a doctor and six laborers, according to officials.
Unidentified terrorists launched the assault in the evening, when workers had returned to their temporary accommodations at the site's camp in Gund, Ganderbal. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge emphasized that such acts of terror will not hinder India's infrastructure efforts in the region.
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also condemned the attack in a post on social media, denouncing the killing of innocent civilians as a crime against humanity. Both leaders have extended condolences to the victims' families and wished for the speedy recovery of those injured.
