In a harrowing incident, a terror attack was executed against migrant labourers in the Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir. The attack, denounced by Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, tragically resulted in two fatalities.
The labourers, employed by a private company for a tunnel construction project in the region, were targeted by terrorists in the Gund area. The assailants fired upon the labourers' camp, leaving two dead and others injured, as reported by officials.
Efforts by police and military forces to apprehend the culprits are intensified, as this attack happens shortly after a new government was installed. Gadkari extended condolences to the victims' families and expressed hopes for the injured's recovery.
