Cyber Fraudsters Unmasked: Call Center Scam Busted in Lucknow

The long arm of the law has caught up with a group of cyber fraudsters in Lucknow. A fake call center was discovered, leading to the arrest of 12 individuals who were part of a massive cross-border scam.
Police teams, using advanced surveillance techniques, raided a flat in Everest Enclave, Sector 18 of Vrindavan Yojana, after receiving a crucial tip-off. The operation recovered electronic gadgets used to execute cyber crimes targeting foreign nationals, primarily from the US and Canada.
The fraudsters duped their victims by introducing bogus technical issues on their devices. Posing as tech support, they charged hefty sums in cryptocurrency or gift cards, tricking victims into unnecessary payments. Authorities are investigating the criminal backgrounds of the accused to build a stronger case.
