Email Threat Lands Ex-Cleaner in Jail

In a startling incident, a 22-year-old from West Bengal has been arrested for allegedly emailing a bomb threat to a shopkeeper. The accused, Salim Rana, reportedly resorted to this extreme measure over a wage dispute with his former employer, police sources confirmed.

Rana, who once served as a cleaner in a Galleria market garment shop, returned to his homeland in August. His employer received a threatening email on September 6, prompting an immediate police complaint.

The cyber crime unit took swift action, registering an FIR and subsequently capturing Rana in West Bengal. This case highlights the increasing use of digital threats in personal grievances.
