President Droupadi Murmu has concluded a landmark three-nation tour in Africa, focusing on strengthening India-Africa ties. Her trip included visits to Algeria, Mauritania, and Malawi, marking the first time an Indian Head of State has visited these nations.

In her final stop in Malawi, President Murmu engaged in fruitful discussions with President Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, exploring avenues to enhance cooperation in agriculture, mining, tourism, and energy. The presidential visit also included the signing of several bilateral agreements, cementing the foundations for sustained collaboration in arts, culture, and sports.

During her journey, President Murmu also received an Honorary Doctorate in Algeria and visited cultural and biodiversity hotspots in Malawi. The Ministry of External Affairs hailed her visit as a reflection of India's commitment to deepening its partnership with African countries, setting new milestones in diplomatic relations.
