The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday asserted in a Delhi court that substantial evidence supports prosecuting those charged in the tragic death case linked to the flooding in an Old Rajinder Nagar coaching institute.
Three civil services aspirants lost their lives due to severe flooding caused by torrential rain in the national capital. The CBI has presented a chargesheet against key figures, including Rau's IAS Study Circle CEO Abhishek Gupta and coordinator Deshpal Singh.
Despite the defence's claims that the chargesheet remains incomplete, Principal District and Sessions Judge Anju Bajaj Chandna will consider the case further at a hearing scheduled for October 29.
