In a startling case of fraud, police have arrested Kaushik Raj, a 29-year-old B.Tech dropout, for allegedly duping numerous individuals by selling counterfeit tickets to an upcoming concert featuring singer Diljit Dosanjh. According to officials, Raj financially benefited from these scams, using the money to purchase luxury items such as an iPhone and an Apple Watch, and funding trips to Bangalore, Goa, and Mumbai.

The scam came to light when a complainant informed authorities that they had unknowingly bought 69 fake concert tickets from Raj, amounting to Rs 4.76 lakh. The tickets were identified as fraudulent upon verification through a helpline number. Following the complaint, an FIR was registered and a detailed investigation was initiated by the police team, which revealed Raj's deception extended to victims in Delhi, Chandigarh, and West Bengal.

Despite Raj's efforts to elude capture by fleeing to different cities, his location was pinpointed to Bangalore before he was apprehended at Nizamuddin Railway Station in Delhi. He confessed to his crimes, leading to the recovery of the defrauded assets. The investigation continues as police delve deeper into the case, uncovering the full extent of Raj's activities and his method of operation.
