Murder in Mumbai: NCP Leader Baba Siddique Shot Amid Festive Chaos

NCP leader Baba Siddique was shot dead by three assailants in Mumbai during Dussehra celebrations. Six shots were fired, two hitting Siddique in the chest. Although two shooters have been caught, police hunt for others continues, including a potential link to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

In a shocking incident in Mumbai's Bandra, NCP leader Baba Siddique was fatally shot by three assailants on October 12. The assassination took place amid Dussehra celebrations, with the noise of fireworks muffling the gunshots.

Authorities revealed that Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister, was struck by two out of six fired bullets while leaving his son Zeeshan Siddique's office. Despite being rushed to Lilavati Hospital, the 66-year-old leader was declared dead on arrival.

Mumbai police have launched an intensive investigation involving fifteen teams. While two of the shooters were apprehended swiftly, efforts to track a third shooter and another suspect are underway, with several states' law enforcement agencies involved.
