Police in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir have dismantled a significant interstate drug racket, apprehending three individuals in the process. The operation commenced following credible information regarding narcotics being transported from Delhi to Srinagar.

Officials intercepted a vehicle at Doonipora Bijbehra, uncovering 413 bottles of Codeine Phosphate hidden in the door panels. The individuals arrested were identified as Monty Singh from Uttar Pradesh, and Ashish Bardawaj and Rahul from New Delhi. The trio is currently in custody at Bijbehara Police Station, as further investigation unfolds.

Collaborative efforts with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in New Delhi resulted in a raid at a Noida warehouse, yielding a substantial seizure of Codeine. Key figures in the racket, Sachin Rana and Arun Rana from Faridabad, have been identified but remain at large, with ongoing efforts to apprehend them.
