In a tragic incident, two Agniveers lost their lives during a field firing exercise in Maharashtra's Nashik district, according to officials. The unfortunate event unfolded at the Deolali Field Firing Ranges where Gunner Gohil Vishvarajsinh, aged 20, and Gunner Saikat, 21, perished after a shell unexpectedly exploded.
A team was conducting the exercise when the mishap occurred, resulting in severe injuries to the victims. Despite being rushed to the military hospital at Deolali, the young soldiers were pronounced dead on arrival. A court of inquiry has been initiated by the army to determine the precise cause of the accident.
