Leaders seek resolution of confrontations involving China's coast guard, while discussions also highlighted Myanmar's ongoing crisis, stressing unified and constructive responses to regional challenges.

Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. called on Southeast Asian leaders and China to expedite the creation of a conduct code for the South China Sea at a regional summit. The plea comes amidst accusations from Manila of harassment and intimidation by Beijing.
