In a significant breakthrough, the police in Phalodi have apprehended five individuals involved in an online fraud operation through a deceptive gaming app. The operation, dubbed 'Operation Firewall,' executed a raid on a rented house, uncovering transactions exceeding Rs 1 crore.

Authorities recovered 25 mobile phones, five laptops, multiple identification and banking materials, as well as 33 SIM cards. These items unveil the intricate web of fraudulent activities conducted by individuals from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Superintendent of Police Pooja Awana detailed that the racket manipulated gaming app outcomes, favoring small-scale betters while swindling larger players. The police have initiated steps to freeze 60 bank accounts linked to the scam, marking a substantial crackdown on cyber fraud.
