Massive Firecracker Seizure: Police Crackdown in Uttar Pradesh
Police in Gonda district, Uttar Pradesh, seized 16 quintals of illegal fireworks and eight quintals of explosives in a crackdown on illegal firecracker manufacturers. Five individuals have been arrested. This follows similar incidents, including fatal explosions, prompting statewide action against illegal manufacturing units.

In a decisive action against illegal firecracker manufacturing, police in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh have seized a massive 16 quintals of fireworks and approximately eight quintals of explosives, authorities reported on Thursday.
Following a raid on Wednesday night by the Kaudia police, led by Superintendent Vineet Jaiswal, in the villages of Mauharia and Laiburwa, five suspects were taken into custody. These included Jumai alias Makkhan, Rizwan, and Imran alias Gullu, among others.
This enforcement comes after several deadly incidents, with a recent blast claiming lives in Gonda. Supertintendent Jaiswal stated that the state police have intensified measures to identify and dismantle illegal firecracker units across Uttar Pradesh.
