Corruption Crackdown: GST Officials Arrested in Ahmedabad Bribery Case

The Gujarat Anti-Corruption Bureau has made significant arrests in a bribery case involving two Central GST officers and a middleman in Ahmedabad, authorities announced on Thursday.
Identified as Mohammed Rizwan Shaikh and Kuldip Kushwah, alongside Bhaumik Soni, these individuals are alleged to have demanded a substantial bribe from a local businessman, according to an ACB release.
The incident came to light when a bullion trader complained about a bribe demand after an alleged audit discrepancy notice, leading the ACB to orchestrate a successful sting operation.
