Critical Hits: Russian Strikes on Ukrainian Infrastructure Escalate
Recent Russian attacks on Ukraine have targeted civilian and critical infrastructure, injuring multiple people. Zaporizhzhia city was severely hit, and Ukraine's air force reported downing numerous Russian drones. Strikes impacted regions including Odesa, Poltava, and Donetsk. Emergency services managed several rescue operations amid missile-induced damage and fires.
In a series of escalating attacks, Russian forces have targeted civilian and vital infrastructure in Ukraine, injuring at least seven people. These include strikes in the southeastern city of Zaporizhzhia, where guided bombs damaged 29 buildings, as confirmed by regional governor Ivan Fedorov.
The attacks are part of an ongoing offensive; Ukraine's air force claims to have downed 41 out of 62 Russian drones. Meanwhile, missile and drone attacks have hit cities like Kryvyi Rih and led to fires and significant structural damage in regions from Odesa to Poltava.
Emergency services have actively responded, performing rescues and extinguishing fires, notably after a cruise missile caused a blaze in Mykolaiv. A separate attack on the Odesa port infrastructure resulted in fatalities and damaged a foreign vessel.
