In a significant geopolitical move, China's foreign ministry has enacted sanctions targeting three U.S. military-affiliated companies and 10 senior executives. This decision comes in direct response to the United States' recent weapons sales to Taiwan.
The companies affected by the sanctions include Edge Autonomy Operations LLC, Huntington Ingalls Industries Inc, and Skydio Inc. Effective immediately, any properties belonging to these firms within China will be frozen, according to a foreign ministry statement made on Thursday.
This development underscores the ongoing tensions between China and the United States, particularly concerning Taiwan, which China views as a breakaway province.
