An Israeli airstrike hit the Lebanese Civil Defence centre in Dardghaya, a southern Lebanese town, on Wednesday, resulting in the deaths of five members stationed there, according to civil defence spokesperson Elie Khairallah.
The Lebanese Health Ministry confirmed the incident, criticizing Israel for targeting rescue and ambulance crews, which, the ministry declared, violates international humanitarian laws.
No immediate comment was received from the Israeli military regarding the striking incident that claimed the life of Abdullah Al-Moussawi, head of the Tyre Regional Centre. Meanwhile, rescue teams are actively searching for any survivors amidst the devastation.
