Justice Served: Life Sentences for Zia Ul Haq's Murderers

A special CBI court sentenced 10 individuals to life imprisonment for the murder of deputy SP Zia Ul Haq in 2013. The convicted individuals face additional financial penalties amounting to Rs 1,95,000. This incident traces back to March 2, 2013, when Haq was killed in the Hathigawan area of Pratapgarh district. His death followed the murder of Balipur pradhan Nanhe Yadav, leading to heightened tensions.

Allegations of Yadav's family and supporters attacking the police surfaced in the aftermath. Despite the death of accused Yogendra Yadav alias Bablu during the trial, the court found the remaining accused guilty and acquitted one, Sudhir Yadav, emphasizing justice served in the case.
