In a twist involving both sports and crime, Inter Milan's management finds itself under scrutiny. Italian police questioned the club's manager, Simone Inzaghi, on Wednesday as a witness in an ongoing criminal investigation. The probe focuses on connections between Inter Milan's 'ultra' fans and notorious organized crime networks.

Inzaghi, while not directly implicated, provided testimony following police arrests of 19 'ultra' fans suspected of mafia affiliations. These fans, linked to both Inter Milan and AC Milan, allegedly have connections with the 'Ndrangheta, a feared mafia group from Calabria, southern Italy.

Prosecutors advised the clubs to reassess their interactions with fan groups, stressing the need for structural modifications to block further criminal involvement. Inter Milan has refrained from commenting on the situation but confirmed full cooperation with authorities, according to club chairman Giuseppe Marotta.
