In a tragic incident, two shepherds lost their lives to a lightning strike in Madhya Pradesh's Dindori district, as reported by local authorities on Wednesday.
The fatal event unfolded on Tuesday evening in Sarangpur village within the Mehadwani block, according to a police official.
Victims Ram Lal, aged 59, and Lambu Singh, aged 14, had sought refuge beneath a tree during a rainstorm, when they were suddenly struck by lightning, leading to their instantaneous demise, confirmed police officer Shivlal Markam. The authorities have recorded the incident as an accidental death.
