Russian Drone Assault Shakes Odesa: Five Injured
A drone attack on Odesa by Russia has wounded five civilians and damaged buildings. Governor Oleh Kiper reported a fire in an unfinished structure and damage to a nearby apartment and medical facility. The Ukrainian military managed to intercept most drones, and Russia's ballistic missile strike in Poltava resulted in no casualties.
A Russian drone strike on the southern Ukrainian region of Odesa has left five people injured and caused significant structural damage, according to regional governor Oleh Kiper.
The assault led to a fire in an unfinished building, later extinguished, while the windows and facade of a nine-storey apartment complex, as well as a nearby medical facility, were damaged. Ukrainian military forces successfully intercepted 21 out of the 22 drones launched overnight by Russia.
In a concurrent strike on Ukraine's central Poltava region, Russia fired three ballistic missiles. Regional governor Filip Pronin confirmed damage to an industrial site, yet civilian infrastructure remained untouched, and no casualties have been reported.
