In a bold rescue mission in Sadar Bazar, central Delhi, law enforcement and support teams successfully freed 21 child labourers from shops, authorities announced on Wednesday.

The operation, executed on October 8, was spearheaded by the Tehsildar Delhi Cantonment and involved various NGOs, the labour department, and local police. These efforts culminated in the successful extraction of the minors from exploitative situations.

Nineteen of the rescued children have been placed in Mukti Ashram, Burari, while two girls were transferred to Rainbow Girls Home, Kashmiri Gate. A case has been registered under the Child Labour Act at the Delhi Cantonment Police Station, as confirmed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (southwest) Surendra Choudhary.
