Border Security Force (BSF) personnel apprehended a 31-year-old intruder, Shahid Imran, from Pakistan's Punjab region, along the International Border near Makwal on Tuesday evening. According to security officials, Imran was found carrying two knives, a smartwatch, and various other personal belongings.
The Pakistani national reportedly crossed into Indian territory inadvertently. During questioning, Imran claimed his crossing was unintentional, though security personnel remain cautious given the circumstances surrounding his intrusion.
Following an initial questioning session, Shahid Imran has been handed over to local police authorities to determine further legal actions. The incident underscores ongoing tensions and the challenges of securing international borders.
