Ukraine's Tactical Pressure on Kursk: Zelenskiy's Battle Plans
President Zelenskiy reports that Ukrainian forces maintain pressure on Russian troops in the Kursk region. This strategic push follows Kyiv's August incursion. Despite Russian recapture claims, Ukrainian forces hold multiple villages. Meanwhile, Russian troops focus on advances in the Donetsk region, a key area of conflict.
In a continued push to hold strategic ground, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy reported Tuesday that Ukrainian military forces are successfully maintaining pressure on Russian troops in the Kursk region. The ongoing conflict marks three months since Ukraine's significant August incursion into this Russian territory.
During his nightly video address, following a meeting with senior commanders, Zelenskiy stated, "Fighting is now going on in Kursk region for a third month and we are maintaining the necessary pressure on Russia in this sector." His remarks reflect Ukraine's commitment to ensuring strategic footholds in the area.
Despite Moscow's claims of having recaptured parts of the region, Ukrainian forces have seized multiple villages in Kursk, a border zone between Russia and Ukraine. Meanwhile, Russian troops are advancing in the Donetsk region, further south, which remains the primary focus of Moscow's campaign in Ukraine.
