A Brazilian national was arrested at the India-Nepal border for attempting to enter the country without proper documentation, authorities reported on Tuesday. The detention of Joaquim dos Santos Neto occurred during a routine inspection by the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) at the Sonouli transit point.

Neto, 37, was found with a Brazilian passport but lacked necessary visa documentation for entry into India, according to Additional Superintendent of Police Atish Kumar Singh. Sonouli is known for its position as a significant transit route between India and Nepal.
