Security forces successfully disrupted a potential Naxalite attack by arresting four members in the Naxal-affected district of Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, according to an official report released on Tuesday.
The suspects, identified as Santu Hemla, Mitu Hemla, Sannu Telam, and Kamalu Hemla, were apprehended on Monday in the Chihaka village forest. The arrests were part of a joint operation conducted by the District Reserve Guard and district police forces focusing on anti-Naxal activities.
Police recovered sharp weapons, pamphlets, and banners. The Naxals admitted that they were in the area conducting reconnaissance to target isolated police officers.
