France and Qatar have stepped up their humanitarian efforts in Lebanon by delivering much-needed aid, the French foreign minister revealed on Tuesday. The move comes as Paris intensifies its campaign for a broader ceasefire and humanitarian intervention in the crisis-stricken nation.
Diplomatic sources disclosed that military planes transported 27 metric tons of vital supplies like medicines, blankets, and hygiene kits to Lebanon. The mission reflects France's historical ties to Lebanon as Paris seeks partnership with the United States to stabilize the region, following recent escalations and heavy bombings in Beirut.
France is also planning an upcoming conference focused on Lebanon that aims to deliver humanitarian aid, strengthen the Lebanese army, and address the country's ongoing political vacuum. The French government is urging all parties to endorse the ceasefire proposal, thereby paving the way for peace and negotiations.
