Kharkiv Under Fire: Impact of Ongoing Russian Strikes

Russian military strikes on Kharkiv, a major city in northeastern Ukraine, have resulted in the deaths of two civilians and injuries to more than 30 others, including a child, as confirmed by local officials on Tuesday.

According to governor Oleh Syniehubov, Russian forces deployed four guided bombs in the attack on Kharkiv, which ranks as Ukraine's second largest city. Tragically, a man and a woman lost their lives while walking on the street, and at least three more people were wounded during the afternoon assault.

Earlier the same day, another attack resulted in 28 injuries, involving a 16-year-old victim. The type of weaponry remains under investigation. Both Syniehubov and Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov confirmed damage to a civilian production facility, where a fire ensued. Kharkiv's proximity to the border has made it a recurrent target since the intensified conflict began.
