China Urges U.S. to Lift Sanctions on Tech Firms
China's commerce minister expressed concerns to the U.S. regarding semiconductor policies and sanctions on Chinese tech companies. Wang Wentao emphasized the importance of clear national security parameters to ensure global supply chain stability and called for lifting sanctions to improve economic relations.
China's commerce minister has voiced "serious concerns" to the U.S. Secretary of Commerce over policies affecting semiconductors and restrictions on Chinese vehicles.
In a call with Gina Raimondo, Minister Wang Wentao highlighted the necessity for clear national security guidelines to stabilize global trade and strengthen bilateral cooperation.
He urged the U.S. to resolve concerns by lifting sanctions and enhancing the business climate for Chinese firms in America, as both nations engaged in open and pragmatic economic discussions.
