A deadly Russian shelling incident in Ukraine's southern Kherson region has claimed the life of one individual and left five others injured, as confirmed by the regional governor, Oleksandr Prokudin.

The village of Antonivka suffered the attack, which saw four of the injured receiving treatment at medical facilities. Regional prosecutors reported that Russian forces used artillery to carry out the strike, resulting in the death of a 56-year-old man.

The Kherson area often finds itself the target of Russian aggression, with artillery strikes launched from the river's occupied left bank. Just one day prior, guided bombs dropped by Russian forces injured 22 civilians, including children, emphasizing the relentless nature of the conflict.
