Seven police personnel, including a sub-inspector, have been suspended after an investigation confirmed that they traced the phone location of IPS officer Jyeshtha Maitrei without authorization.
Maitrei, a 2017 batch IPS officer currently serving as the superintendent of police in Bhiwadi, lodged the complaint after suspecting unauthorized surveillance by her own department.
The matter has sparked a major controversy and is now under the purview of the police headquarters as investigations continue into the actions of the suspended officers from the Bhiwadi cyber cell.
