In a significant breakthrough, Assam authorities have seized drugs worth nearly Rs 11 crore in coordinated operations throughout the state, officials announced Tuesday.

The operations, orchestrated by the Assam Police, targeted regions like Biswanath and Cachar, resulting in the recovery of substantial amounts of ganja, heroin, and Yaba tablets, according to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

These anti-narcotics efforts led to the apprehension of several suspects, with notable seizures including 314 kg of ganja on NH-15 in Biswanath and 572 grams of heroin alongside 10,000 Yaba tablets in Cachar, as reported by officials.
