Global Partnership for Water Management: CEPT University and IWA Unite

The International Water Association and CEPT University's CRDF Center for Water and Sanitation have signed an MoU to enhance collaboration in water management and sanitation. This strategic partnership aims to foster research, education, and capacity-building in South Asia, focusing on sustainable water solutions and advancing SDG 6 goals.

The International Water Association (IWA) and CEPT University's Center for Water and Sanitation (CWAS) have formalized their collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed on September 25, 2024, at CEPT University in Ahmedabad. This partnership marks a significant milestone in joint efforts towards sustainable water management and sanitation advancements.

The MoU was signed by key figures including Dr. Kalanithy Vairavamoorthy, Executive Director of IWA, and Dr. Dinesh Mehta and Dr. Meera Mehta from CWAS. The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests like Dr. Barjor Mehta, President of CEPT University, highlighting the importance of this venture.

Focused on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 6, this collaboration aims to boost research, education, and capacity building. The partnership will see joint efforts in organizing events, publishing relevant works, and engaging students, aligning with IWA's global vision and CWAS's regional expertise.
