Bomb Threat Hoax Shakes Engineering Colleges
Three engineering colleges in the city received bomb threat emails, which were later confirmed as hoaxes. Authorities quickly responded, deploying bomb disposal units to ensure safety. Police are investigating to trace the source of the emails while concerned parents gathered outside the institutions.

In a dramatic turn of events, three engineering colleges in the city were put on high alert when they received emails indicating bombs had been planted on their premises. The incident, however, turned out to be a hoax, according to the police.
The alarm was raised at around 1 pm when the Bangalore Institute of Technology and BMS College of Engineering, located in Basavanagudi, and MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology in Sadashivanagar, reported receiving these menacing emails. Swiftly responding to the threat, the college managements alerted the police.
Authorities, along with bomb disposal and dog squads, conducted thorough investigations on the campuses, ultimately confirming the threats were unfounded. Deputy Commissioner of Police Lokesh B Jagalasar stated that a case has been opened at Hanumanth Nagar Police Station to identify the email's origin. Meanwhile, worried parents flocked to the colleges, anxious for their children's safety.
