An unidentified man was discovered dead after reportedly falling from a building in South Delhi's Vasant Kunj area, police announced on Friday.

The man's body, which remained unidentified at press time, was found by a sweeper in the building's parking area, who promptly alerted authorities. Preliminary reports suggest the man sustained a fatal head injury.

According to a resident of the building's second floor, a loud noise was heard around 4 am on Thursday, which he initially thought came from his washroom. Police investigations revealed that some clothes clips near the body matched those on a clothesline from the second-floor balcony. An abrasion wound was noted on the man's left hand. The body has been moved to Safdarjung Hospital for post-mortem, as efforts continue to identify the deceased.
