The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear a series of pleas on Friday, focusing on the controversial allegations surrounding the use of animal fat in the production of Tirupati laddus. This follows a request by Solicitor General Tushar Mehta to address the court's concerns.

Originally set for Thursday afternoon, the hearing was rescheduled for Friday morning at 10.30 am. The legal team, led by Mehta, will argue before a bench headed by Justice B R Gavai.

The case traces back to previous assertions by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and conflicting investigations regarding the laddus' ingredients. The apex court is considering if an independent probe is needed beyond the state-appointed SIT.
