Jaya Bachchan's Committee Shuffle in Rajya Sabha

Samajwadi Party's Rajya Sabha member, Jaya Bachchan, has stepped down from the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Communications and Information Technology, previously chaired by BJP's Nishikant Dubey.
She will now contribute to the Labour, Textiles, and Skill Development Committee, led by former Karnataka Chief Minister Basavraj Bommai, as per a Rajya Sabha secretariat bulletin.
Trinamool Congress's Saket Gokhale replaces Bachchan in the Communications and IT panel. Meanwhile, CPI-M's A A Rahim and R Girirajan transition to the Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, chaired by Shashi Tharoor, while JD(U)'s Sanjay Kumar Jha and BJP's Dhairyashil Patil join the Water Resources Committee. Jha also oversees the Transport, Tourism, and Culture Committee.
