Delhi Police Withdraws Assembly Prohibition Order Amid Festivities
The Delhi Police have withdrawn an earlier order prohibiting gatherings that could disrupt public festivities during the Dussehra season. This decision follows legal discussions in the Supreme Court. The order was initially issued due to security concerns, including planned protests and high-profile political events.

The Delhi Police announced a crucial reversal on Thursday, rescinding an order that banned the assembly of groups larger than five from September 30 to October 5 in the national capital.
The move came after Solicitor General Tushar Mehta apprised the Supreme Court of the withdrawal during proceedings led by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud.
The original order, issued by Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora, cited safety concerns amid looming protests. However, Festival disruptions led to its withdrawal. Political tensions had initially prompted heightened security measures across key areas.
