Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned Hezbollah leader Syyed Hassan Nasrallah to flee Lebanon days before his assassination in an Israeli strike, raising alarm about Israeli infiltration in Iran, three Iranian sources reported. Khamenei's envoy, Brigadier General Abbas Nilforoushan, who delivered the warning, was also killed in the attack.

Following these events, Khamenei ordered around 200 missiles to be fired at Israel as retaliation. The Iranian Revolutionary Guards cited recent attacks, including the assassination of Hamas Leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, as reasons for the missile strike.

Nasrallah's death has ignited widespread mistrust within Hezbollah and Tehran, leading to thorough investigations into Israeli infiltrations among the Revolutionary Guards and Hezbollah's ranks. Iran's internal security is now focusing on officials with foreign ties, fueling concerns about future Israeli intelligence operations.
